A Heart to Hear

Fingertips follow pressed flat
Just beneath His Word my story
Oh beautiful light where I sat
Cascades of hope and glory
 
Dare I look away from Thee
As morning light draws pace
Freedom reminds a price not free
Splintered arms enfold in grace

His joy was me set before
Cross and death endured
Now He’s my joy more and more
Love poured out assured
 
Oh tender is His way
These pages fruited field
He gently leads me stay
And calls my heart to yield
 
Where is better be found
Than in my Savior’s rest
Holy throned and crowned
Christ alive inside my chest

Praising hands bursting wide
His breath and life beseech
Faithful One true and tried
Mercy pleads a world to reach

King of kings, Lord of all
His voice so sure and true
Come now me, one so small
A heart to hear, all left to do.
