Missions Partner Spotlight: Israel at War

As we conclude 2023, we invite you to look back through our blog to see all the Missions Partner Spotlights we've had. To conclude this year, we wanted to put a spotlight on Israel and provide resources so that you can pray and support as God leads.

Beginning with Hamas' attack on Israel on October 7, thousands have died, hundreds kidnapped and held hostage and hundreds of thousands have been displaced from their homes. We want to encourage you to listen to Pastor Tom's podcasts "Inside Israel."

As you pray for Israel, consider praying specifically in the following areas:

1. Pray for the hostages and for the families of the victims.
2. Pray for the soldiers.
3. Pray for the leaders of Israel.
4. Pray for the people of Israel.
5. Pray for the people of Gaza.
6. Pray that Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, the leaders of Iran and all those around the world who hate Israel will encounter the ONE TRUE AND LIVING GOD.
7. Pray for the peace & salvation of Israel.

One of our missions partners, Bridge to Israel, helped us host an Israel Prayer Night & Hanukkah Celebration on December 7. There, we were able to hear from Pastor Shmuel at Beit Eliyahu. MHCC & Bridge to Israel are blessed to be able to support this congregation as they minister to the Haifa area during this time of war. At last count, 38 members of their congregation had been called up to serve in the IDF, some of whom have been severely injured.
