FLORIDA
ADULT & FAMILY

September 22-28
7 Days / Adults - $1250 / Kids - $250
This team will be participating in an unforgettable week at the beach getting to know families who are going through the difficult journey of childhood cancer through MHCC’s partnership with Blue Skies (www.blueskiesministries.org). This team will share God’s love in very practical ways from cooking, cleaning, playing with children, offering a hug, a smile, a shoulder to lean on, and laughing as you enjoy amazing themed events and beach activities. This week allows the parents to connect in a deep way through their trial and lets the kids laugh and play again. If you have a heart to uplift hurting families, this trip might be for you!

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

September is 25-29
Trip is Full
This team will be participating in an unforgettable week working with young boys from the Dominican Republic through MHCC’s partnership with Holt’s House of Hope (www.holtshouseofhope.com). Holt’s House Of Hope provides refuge, restoration, and hope for the boys of Boca Chica through the gospel of Jesus Christ. They meet three times each week with a group of over 35 boys ages 11-18 for Bible study, English classes, and character development. The boys are served a hot meal and also have the opportunity to participate in fun games, sports, and other recreational activities.
This is a huge undertaking for HHOH, and that’s where our team will come in. We will assist with providing help for some of their after-school programs by teaching English classes, serving meals, and any other service projects needed on the compound. There will also be opportunities to share your testimony and lead bible studies with the boys after school. In addition, we will try to organize home visits with local families as well as sight-seeing in and around Boca Chica.

HOW DO I CHOOSE A TRIP?

There are a few ways to choose the right trip for you. We think people have the best outcomes serving overseas when they are able to incorporate their talents, skills, and previous experiences. Some trips are geared toward people who are new to the mission field. You may consider choosing a trip based on the best time of year for you or an area of the world where you feel connected. For example, is there a place you love to read about or study? Are you interested when a certain region is mentioned in the news? Ultimately, the best course of action is to pray and ask God for direction and confirmation as you consider this opportunity.

During team meetings this will be discussed briefly, but please visit the CDC website for the country you are traveling to and consult your medical doctor to determine what vaccinations you will need.

WHO IS SELECTED FOR TRIPS?

Each trip requires a different set of criteria for applicants. It is important that we place people on trips according to how they best fit the trip needs. This could include looking for people with specific skill sets or experiences. Please keep in mind that we receive more applications than we have availability. Sometimes we simply don’t have enough room to take all applicants.
