Men's D-Groups

Be Watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

1 Corinthians 16:13

In Proverbs 27:17, King Solomon writes, "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."  We believe men need other men in their lives who have made the commitment to engage regularly with God's Word, be authentic and transparent and Invite other men to speak into their lives.

A Simple Plan

Disciple-making is the core mission of the Church.  Every disciple of Jesus Christ has been commissioned to carry on his work of inviting others into relationship with God and teaching how to live into that new identity.  As disciple-making goes, so goes the Church.  A church with a vibrant and committed disciple-making culture will be growing and healthy.

The Pastors at Mars Hill want to resource you to grow into an effective disciple-maker.  The Pathway must be simple and reproducible  We have put together a series of resources and simple training to help you get started building into the lives of those God has put in your sphere of influence.

A Clear Pathway

First, commit to regular active reading of God's Word together.
Second, commit to meet regularly in authentic relationships marked by transparency, encouragement and accountability.
Third, multiply new D-groups.

Phase 1

Walk Like Jesus

In 1 John 2:6, disciples called to walk as Jesus walked.  Jesus is our model for the Christian life.  In this study, you will dive into the life of Christ examining, what he said, what he did and why he did it.  You will discover six practices Jesus prioritized and learn how to implement them into your life.

Phase 2

Know His Word

It is critical that every disciple learn how to read the Bible and discover how God reveals Himself throughout the Scriptures.  Foundations 260 will take you through passages from each book of the Bible in order to trace God’s redemptive work from Genesis to Revelation.

Phase 3

Live Like Jesus

Disciples make disciples. In this study, you will walk through the life of Jesus to discover Jesus’ strategy for making “fishers of men.”  You will learn to disciple others as Jesus did and explore seven disciplines of a successful disciple-maker.

We'd like to see every member of Mars Hill Community Church connected to others through our D-group ministries.  If you are ready to begin or continue your faith journey with others seeking to grow in Christ-likeness, click here:
